Maverick Bench
Natural wood bench built with trees and branches titled the Maverick Bench
The Maverick Bench design was once my most popular. Now however it is rarely asked for. This is the first one I have built in about 10 years. This is a 5' eastern red cedar bench with an oil coat on the seat surface and all exposed end grains. Typically my benches have a half-round log seat surface, flat side up. This one has cedar boards recessed into a bark faced frame.

This is my Falling Waters Bench design. This design was first built for Falling Waters Preserve in Saugerties NY. Since then it has become one of my most popular designs.

Olana Memorial Bench
Outdoor rustic park bench built using mountain laurel trees titled the Olana Bench
This bench was built as a memorial for a member of Olana's team. She was a groundbreaking landscape architect who was largely responsible for much of the restoration work and the vision for the future of Olana's landscape.

Vermont Benches

These three rustic outdoor benches were built for a client in Vermont. The first is titled the Poet's Bench and measures 6' long, the second is the Butterfly Bench measuring 5' long, and the third is the Taconic Bench also measuring 5' long. All three were built with locally harvested bark-on eastern red cedar trees and branches.

Here's one more bench ready to be placed at Olana Historic Site in Hudson NY. This is a 5' bench built using locally harvested mountain laurel boughs attached to a white oak plank.

Warren Arbor

This is a hybrid design combining elements of my Tyson Arbor and Concord Pergola. It measures 8' wide x 4' deep and is built entirely using locally harvested bark-on eastern red cedar trees and branches. This is a group of ten benches built for Tulip Springs Picnic Area at South Mountain Reservation in Essex County, NJ. They are a combination of my Rhinecliff Bench and Rhinebeck Bench designs. All benches measure 6' long and are built using locally harvested bark-on eastern red cedar trees and branches.
